Hearts and Flowers

With Valentine's Day just around the corner, it's not too early to think about hearts and love and all that sweet stuff!  I made a few tiny hearts to pass out to some people that I love!

These are sweet and cute!

This one is so simple but it's my favorite.  A nice way to let someone know you are thinking of them.
Lots of flowers and leaves. Outlined in dots.

.

Cute!

These are especially cute wrapped up in a tiny bag.  Such a nice way to brighten someone's day!

Wearing White

My friend is having a bridal shower for her son's fiance and she commissioned me to make some favors for the shower. After some debate she decided on a white dress with a sweetheart neckline, a sparkly tie on the waist, some flowers and a pearl and some lace on the bottom.  I love these cookies!

I used purple and pink for the flowers.  Here they are paired with some simple and pretty heart cookies!

The dresses - they are large cookies!

You can kind of see the sparkly waistband in this shot.  It would look nice in silver too.

All wrapped up! The bottoms of the dresses were so big they hardly fit in the bags.

I just love the shots of them all wrapped up - I guess I feel accomplished!

T-Shirt Cookies!

I was recently asked to make t-shirt cookies for a baby shower.  They wanted the t-shirts to say "Team Cooper" and be in Royal Blue and Orange colors to represent the college where the expectant parents met! The cookies are cute and they are HUGE!

I alternated colors and added some fun stripes for a little detail.

Here they are bagged and tied up with ribbon!

Lots of t-shirts!

T-shirt cookies are great because you can use them in so many ways.  They can be made into sports jerseys, tie-dyed, decorated with flowers, Hawaiian shirts, and so much more! Welcome to the world Baby Cooper!

Shoes, Lipstick, Nailpolish and Girly FUN!

I had some extra dough and wanted to play around with some fun girly cookie cutters I recently bought!  Here are the results:

I'm not thrilled with the colors but like I said I had extra dough so I just used whatever I had made.  Otherwise they are pretty fun and cute!

I have a bit of a shoe problem - I love shoes so much and I'm always adding shoes to my collection.  I especially love high heels!
Here is a picture of part of my shoe collection in my closet.

I am also a HUGE fan of organization!

I teach 8th grade Language Arts and instead of putting my name on assignments I use this high heel symbol - it's my logo and I love it!

So based on my love for shoes I was very excited to make a high heel cookie! They came out really cute; I wish I could wear them!

A very cute and fun girly cookie collection!

Cake Time

For a while I was really into cake decorating.  Now I mostly focus on cookies and a few special cakes but here are some that I've done.

New York Yankees Cake for my father in law's birthday

Clown Cake

Pretty Roses Cake

Rose cake for my Grandma's Birthday

 Happy Cake Making!

Graduation Cookies

When my sister graduated from college I made her some fun graduation cookies.  There were graduation hats, diplomas, and some fun ones with her name and major.

These are a fun addition to any graduation party!

Birthday Cake Obsession - Quinn

Our second child, our daughter Quinn, couldn't escape the birthday cake excitement.  Her 1st birthday party was a cupcake theme so I actually skipped the cake and instead I made hundreds of cupcakes and cupcake shaped sugar cookies. (I don't have pictures of the cookies...boo)

Double chocolate cupcakes with chocolate crunch

Pumpkin Spice cupcakes with cinnamon cheesecake icing

Red Velvet cupcakes with cheesecake frosting and chocolate shavings

Rainbow cupcakes with vanilla frosting - these are my favorite!

The inside of the rainbow cupcakes are just so much fun!

Happy 1st Birthday Baby!

When Quinn turned two I made her a tie-dyed graffiti cakeIt was a bundt cake that was tie-dyed on the inside and the icing was vanilla with multi-colored graffiti on it.  Of course I didn't take great pictures of it.  Is this what happens to the poor second child?

She wasn't sure about this!

Birthday Cake Obsession - Brayden

When I had my son Brayden in 2008 I became obsessed with making birthday cakes for my kids.  It was just something I wanted to do for them and, hopefully, they will remember that I took the time to make their day special!

When Brayden turned 1 he had a Monkey themed party so I made him a monkey cake, of course.  It was super simple, just two 9 inch round cakes, stacked, iced in chocolate and then I used a cupcake cut in half for the ears and fondant, that I dyed, for the details.

When he turned two we didn't have a big party but had cake with family and I had seen this great "farm cake" in a magazine and was so excited to make it.  It was two 9 inch round cakes cut to fit together to make the grass, the barn and silo were made of pound cake and the animals were cupcakes.  It was so cute and he really loved it!

I love the pretzel stick fence!

Cow cupcake!

Pig!

Chick!

When Brayden turned 3 we had a doggie party complete with a very simple doggie cake and some dog paw cookies! This was the VERY FIRST time I made sugar cookies and it wasn't very pretty and it took me two full days to make them!

He did love the cookies to give to his friends though!

Finally we come to his most recent birthday, his 4th birthday which was a Beach Birthday Bash party.  I made a modified ombre cake (thank you pintrest) and covered it with "B" shaped iced sugar cookies. It was tasty and fun!

With 5 layers it couldn't fit in a regular cake taker!

Shades of blue and a yellow layer for fun!

This year when he turns 5 we will be in Disney World so I"m thinking his cakes and party will be Mickey inspired! I can't wait!
