Some Christmas Cookies

I was so happy to find the time to bake some Christmas cookies with my daughter this year.  We made the traditional family favorites and I got to show her some recipes that were written by her Great-Great Grandmother! We are so blessed! Merry Christmas!

She made a Candy Cane name cookie!
For the first time she was actually able to really help with the baking and she loved it!
Candy Cane cookies from my Great Grandmother's recipe! I was lucky enough to have her into adulthood as she passed away when I was 24. I miss her so very much!

Simple and Sweet Christmas Trees!

You many not know that I am not a baker by trade, for me baking is a hobby.  I'm actually a high school English teacher.  One thing I love about teaching is that I get to work with amazing young adults and they inspire me daily.

I made these cookies to give to my amazing students who spent their whole weekend baking so that they can make cookie trays to hand out at a local hospice center.  They wanted to spread a little cheer to those who are suffering.  I'm so proud of them.

Simple and pretty trees and stars to go on top of the cookie trays.

Simple air brushed lace trees

If you have a chance this holiday season, try to do something good for someone else.  It's the best give you can give!

Christmas Cookie Trays!

It's that time of year when I spend many hours standing in the kitchen baking! I made lots of fun cookies this year!

Some snowmen made from a cupcake shape cutter, mittens and a tree.

Here is a tray of a variety of Christmas Cookies. M&M Party cookies, snickerdoodles, chocolate chip logs, thumbprint cookies, Italian snowballs, sugar cookies - YUM!

 All wrapped up!

I wrapped some up individually to hand out at work too!

Merry Christmas Everyone!
