Cookies make GREAT Gifts!

This last year our neighborhood has changed and we have lots of new neighbors.  I wanted to bring them some holiday joy so I picked up some $1.00 mini ceramic loaf pans from Christmas Tree Shoppe and filled them with a variety of Christmas cookies and wrapped them up!

I wrapped the cookies in individual bags and sealed them then placed them in the pan.

Finally, I wrapped them up and tagged them and delivered them to some happy neighbors!  It's also a nice act of kindness!

Here's a side view so you can see the other cookies in there. About 6-9 cookies per bag!

These are great gifts or a cute favor!

Christmas Cookie Trays!

It's that time of year when I spend many hours standing in the kitchen baking! I made lots of fun cookies this year!

Some snowmen made from a cupcake shape cutter, mittens and a tree.

Here is a tray of a variety of Christmas Cookies. M&M Party cookies, snickerdoodles, chocolate chip logs, thumbprint cookies, Italian snowballs, sugar cookies - YUM!

 All wrapped up!

I wrapped some up individually to hand out at work too!

Merry Christmas Everyone!

Here Comes the Bride...

I have two favorite parts of a wedding.  The first is when the bride walks down the aisle and the second is when the newlywed couple is announced into the reception.  I'm always excited to see what the bride is wearing and and one of my best memories of my wedding was being announced into the reception!

A friend of mine is getting ready to host a bridal shower for her future daughter in law and I wanted to make a few wedding dress favor cookies for her to choose from.  So in the midst of baking for Christmas I made these dresses.

(Please don't mind the terrible pictures, our camera is broken and a cell phone is my best option)

I have to say that I like both of these dresses but the one on the right is my favorite.  I can decorate these dresses in any way I want but the shape of the one on the right makes me smile!

This dress has a simple sash and flowers with a pearl.  When I make these for the shower I"m going to suggest making the sash at the waist sparkly!

I'm excited to see which dress style she chooses!

BRR...it's Cold Outside!

Winter weather is upon us so to celebrate we're having some cookies!

Mittens and Snowflakes!
YUM!

Happy Hanukkah!!

Today is the 7th night of Hanukkah and the kids are really enjoying lighting the Menorah each night!

I made some Hanukkah themed cookies for a party this weekend.

It's a little tricky for a Catholic girl to write Hebrew letters but I think they turned out nice!

We have Menorahs, dreidals, and some stars!

Happy Hanukkah!

I Love Fall

This past fall we drove up to Connecticut for a family reunion.  It was great to see family that we hadn't seen in a while and it was a great opportunity to make some fun fall cookies!

The small tray above went to my work friends.  We had leaves, pumpkins and red and green apples with chocolate chip rolls outlining the tray.

The tray below went to the reunion.  The Sugar cookies were gone in a second!

Hungry little Caterpillar

When my son was "Marvelous Me" at his preschool I came in to teach a lesson.  We read The Very Hungry Caterpillar by Eric Carle, made a caterpillar craft and then they feasted on these fun butterfly and apple with a caterpillar cookies!

See the little caterpillar on there - I love that!
One of my favorite quotes, "Just when the caterpillar thought the world was over, it became a beautiful butterfly."

Baby Onsies

A friend of mine from work was excited for her granddaughter to arrive and I made these cute onsie cookies for the baby shower!
These included a tag, extra tag decor and a ribbon!
Welcome to the world baby Harper!

BOO!

I made these super cute scary ghosts for my son's preschool Halloween party this year. Unfortunately Hurricane Sandy ruined it and it was cancelled.  Since I had these guys individually bagged already I decided to go "reverse" trick or treating and we knocked on our neighbors doors and handed these spooky guys out!  These would be great on a stick too!

Texas/Cowboy - Take 2

Here is the whole tray of Texas themed cookies!

YEE HAW! Cowboy/Texas Cookies!

When my cousin, Michael, was offered an amazing job in Texas we were all happy for this opportunity but sad that he would be moving far away.  I made these cookies to help send him off to his new adventure!

Cookie Pops, footballs and more!

My son needed some cookies for his Valentine's day party so I made this round cookie pops! They are individually wrapped with a bow! The kids loved them too!

These are sugar cookies that I dipped in melted chocolate for a more sophisticated and fun cookie tray!
This mini tray was for my daughter's "boyfriend" (her babysitters teenage son!).  There are football cookies, hearts, and chocolate chip cookie rolls dipped in chocolate and sprinkled with love.

Finally I put this mini tray together for a group of expectant mothers that I was teaching to make baby food.  There are onsies with happy messages, hearts, and chocolate chip cookie rolls!

Circus Cookies

My nephew, Joey, was turning 1 and we had a circus themed party for him! These are the platters I made with lions, monkeys, elephants (my favorite), clowns, the number 1, and the letter J!

All wrapped up and ready for the party!

Firetruck 1st Birthday Party!

My friend, Theresa, is celebrating her son's first birthday party at a firehouse and asked me to make some cookies to fit the theme! These will be on a platter with some chocolate chip cookies mixed in!

Here they are all set up on a platter with chocolate chip cookies mixed in.

Wrapped up and ready to party!

Happy 1st Birthday Nicholas!
